It's been 1 year since the 2010 winter olympics to Vancouver and there are TONS of things to do in the city to celebrate the huge event that came here last year.In case you missed it last year, here are some events to check out THIS WEEKEND.Friday, February 11th:2011 CIBC LunarFest(3- 11pm)(Regular hours 4-11pm)February 12 LunarFest Procession (6:30pm)Make your own lanterns and join the LunarFest Procession down Granville Street.Illuminate Yaletown (5:59-10:30pm)Check out the second annual Illuminate Yaletown- a free, multi-night, entertainment filled street party, featuring spectacular light installations from local artists. Located at Mainland and Hamilton, between Drake and Nelson.Light up C.P.R train Engine 374 (6-10pm)Help transform Engine 374 into a constellation of thousands of tiny lights! Build your own state-of-the-art 'light throwie' from a battery, an LED and a magnet. Admission is $2.Saturday, February 12th:(Robson Street will be closed between Howe and Seymour)Free skating, music and entertainment all day. Also meet with Canadian Olympic atheletes.Vancouver 2010 legacy event at Creekside Community Recreation Center(11am-3pm)Free family event with olympic and Paralympic themed activities including a hockey sledge race, winter sports on Wii, pin trading, 2010 memorabilia on display and a big screen TV showing Games highlightsParalympic games one Year Anniversary Public Skate at Sunset Rink(2-3:30pm)The public skate will be followed by the Sunset Figure Skating Club Spring Gala Ice show from 6-8pm.
