Well, I just wanted to start things off with letting
you know that Canada Day is happening THIS FRIDAY
(JULY 1st) THAT'S RIGHT ... It's A FRIDAY!!!!
Which means a LONG - WEEKEND for PRACTICING FOR
MICROS!!
HOWEVER, if you have already graduated or just
need a rest/break from things why don't you check
out these cool things...
1) Canada Day @ Granville Island:
HUGE CELEBRATION which has a "Canadian Style"
pancake breakfast (with lots of maple syrup) and
live Jazz performances and of course tons of things
to do and see at the public market
When:8am - MIDNIGHT!!!
2) Canada Place:
Hosting Downtown Vancouver's BIGGEST Canada Day
celebration with a street festival, live music
concerts and of course, a Canada Day PARADE!!
When: Festival: 10am - 6pm/ Parade starts @ 7pm
This is at Canada Place (parade @ Georgia & Broughton)
3) Steveston Salmon Festival:
If you like FISH, then RICHMOND has a fantastic
event that includes a parade, cultural events, and
OF COURSE....famous BC SALMON BBQ where you can
get fresh grilled wild salmon.
When: 6:30am - 5pm
Where: Steveston Village, Richmond
4) Canada Day Fireworks show:
The night will be alive with craziness with a
fireworks show that happens in the downtown area
in Burrard Inlet. Visible from MANY places in
downtown.
When: 10:30pm - 11pm
