There is a beautiful community garden near my house. A community garden is a place where people can get a piece of land to try their hand at gardening. Recently, with the eco movement, it has become very popular to grow and eat local produce. This means I had to wait a very long time to get a garden plot.
I finally got my own garden plot this spring after months of volunteering. There is a supply shed at the garden that has all the supplies that I need to grow beautiful vegetables.
All I needed to bring was seeds, hard work, and love. In une it was a lot of work and it just looked muddy and bad. In July there was some green, but half were weeds. In August it went CRAZY!!
And now I am eating vegetables from my garden! Tomatoes, lettuce, squash, and zucchini are all popping up ready to eat. This September will be delicious.
